Format:  Standard (Type2) Constructed

Tournament Info:

• Decklists are required and will be collected at the beginning of the first round.
• There will be a number of rounds of swiss followed by a cut to Top 4 (16 or less players) or Top 8 (17+ players).
• Players must bring pen, paper, card sleeves and appropriate counters.

All participants receive an exclusive Treasure Mage promo card (while supplies last). The top 8 players each receive an exclusive full-art Black Sun's Zenith promo card. The cards are awarded to the Top 8 players even if the tournament cuts only to the top 4.

The Top 2 finishers with Mirran-affiliated decks receive a Pristine Talisman preview card from Mirrodin Pure. The Top 2 finishers with Phyrexia-affiliated decks receive a Suture Priest preview card from New Phyrexia! This is in addition to any Top 8 prize cards you might win for their overall event finish.

What Does an "Affliated Deck" Mean?

Cards in Scars of Mirrodin and Mirrodin Besieged are watermarked with either a Mirran or Phyrexian symbol to represent the card’s affiliation. You can build your Game Day deck to be affiliated with one of the two sides; this makes you eligible to win the Mirrodin Pure or New Phyrexia preview cards. (Having an affiliated deck is not required for Game Day; you can play any Standard-legal deck you choose.)

An affiliated deck must have at least ten watermarked cards from its affiliated faction in its main deck, and no watermarked cards from the opposing faction in its main deck or sideboard. The deck must still be Standard-legal. If you are using an earlier printing of a Scars of Mirrodin card (for example, a Fifth Dawn version of Trinket Mage), that card is considered part of the appropriate faction even though it does not have a watermark printed on the card.
